Art Room Rules

1. Be respectful to everyone/everything in the classroom.
   (this includes listening to directions, no back talk, no bad language, common courtesy required, this also includes being respectful of all materials in the room, no stealing, breaking, or defacing of any material in the art room )

2. Be aware and respectful of other’s personal space.
   (This includes keeping your hands to yourself i.e. no pushing, throwing objects at other students, or any unwanted or inappropriate physical contact.)

3. No leaving the classroom unless the teacher has given you permission.
   (This includes going to drink water, bathrooms, or any other place without the teachers prior knowledge and consent)

4. Please wait your turn to speak and do not interrupt others when they are speaking.
   (in most cases students will be required to raise their hand before speaking)

5. Do not behave in a way or bring items to the classroom that are strictly prohibited in the student handbook.
   (This includes following all rules and guidelines listed in the handbook including dress code).

6. Late work may be turned in for a deduction of one letter grade following the day they are due.
   (After one day any assignments turned in will result in a zero unless extreme circumstances are present)

7. Be on time, on task, prepared, and always pay attention.

Repercussions

 Repercussions will vary based on the severity of the offense. Accordingly the Teacher has the right to fit the repercussions in order to accurately suit the transgression.

Repercussions include and are not limited to:

Extra homework
Keeping students after class 
Not being able to participate in group work

Student being removed from the classroom

Being sent to the principals/superintendent’s office

In all cases parents will be immediately informed of the student’s misconduct and the consequence that will follow.
